Get ready for a thrilling new mystery on Coronation Street! Jodie Ramsey's secret locket is about to unravel a web of intrigue.
In a recent episode, Jodie, played by the talented Olivia Frances Brown, has been up to something suspicious since her arrival in Weatherfield. From manipulating her step-niece Lily to lying about her traumatic past, Jodie's behavior has raised eyebrows. But here's where it gets controversial: Jodie believes she's pulling off the perfect charade, but little does she know, her brother-in-law David is onto her.
Next week, Jodie singles out David, showering him with praise for making her feel welcome. However, David, who initially convinced Shona to give Jodie a chance, now seems to have doubts. He confides in his brother Nick, expressing his concerns about Jodie's strange behavior. Our Corrie source warns, "David is sharp and has noticed red flags. He can't quite put his finger on it, but Jodie's trustworthiness is questionable."
And this is the part most people miss: Jodie, despite her troubled past, isn't entirely a villain. Olivia explains, "Jodie is troubled, but she's not inherently bad. She toys with people for amusement, but only those she believes deserve it. Her abandonment issues run deep, a result of her past experiences."
Later, in a private moment, Jodie retrieves a locket from her trinket box. But what does this locket symbolize? And what is Jodie's true motive? Olivia teases, "Jodie claims she found it in a charity shop, but that's a lie to protect herself."
Jodie's first appearance was in the Corriedale crossover special, where she escaped from Graham Foster's captivity in Emmerdale. Corrie bosses promise to reveal the truth about Jodie's background and her connection to Graham later this year.
Coronation Street continues to air weeknights at 8.30 pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX. Stay tuned for more spoilers and don't miss the Soap Scoop podcast for exclusive insights and theories!
