Dodgers Spring Training 2026: Schedule, Fan Experience & More (2026)

Get Ready, Baseball Fans! The Dodgers' 2026 Spring Training is Almost Here, and It's Shaping Up to Be a Classic!

As the official start of spring training looms just around the corner, the Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up for their much-anticipated workouts in Arizona. Pitchers and catchers will be the first to hit the field at Camelback Ranch on Friday, February 13th, with the entire squad joining in for their first full-team session on February 17th. While some areas of the backfield will be off-limits, fans will have the opportunity to catch glimpses of the team's preparations in other spots.

But here's where the real excitement for fans begins: the Cactus League schedule kicks off on Saturday, February 21st, with an away game against the Angels in Tempe. For those eager to see the Dodgers play at their home spring training facility, mark your calendars for Monday, February 23rd, when they'll face the Mariners at Camelback Ranch.

This year promises a more traditional spring training experience for the Dodgers. Unlike seasons past where they might have traveled overseas to kick off the regular season early, they'll be spending a solid five weeks in Arizona, with their camp concluding on March 21st. This extended stay in the desert allows for ample preparation and a familiar rhythm for both players and fans.

Thinking back to my own spring training experiences, my first trip was in 2006. Back then, the Dodgers still held their spring training in Vero Beach. I remember taking a detour during a conference trip to Miami to visit Holman Stadium for the first time – it was a fantastic way to celebrate my 30th birthday! My only regret from that visit is not taking more time to explore the grounds. The long flight and drive had left me more tired than I anticipated, and I wished I had more time to soak it all in.

I've since spent quite a bit of time at Camelback Ranch, especially since its opening coincided with my first season covering the team. It holds many fond memories for me, and I've always enjoyed the atmosphere in Arizona during spring training.

And this is the part most people miss: The traditional spring training setup allows for a unique connection between the players and the fans, a chance to see the game's stars up close before the intensity of the regular season. But is this traditional approach truly the best way to prepare for a grueling MLB season? Some might argue that a more global approach could offer unique benefits, while others champion the comfort and familiarity of Arizona.

So, the big question for you, the fans, is: Are you planning to attend any spring training games or visit Camelback Ranch this year? Let us know in the comments below – we'd love to hear your plans and your favorite spring training memories! What do you think about the Dodgers' decision to stick with a traditional Arizona spring training schedule?
